Movie franchise Minions is the latest to get a Minecraft makeover, as part of a new DLC pack released just in time for new film, Minions: Rise of Gru. The DLC will see you assuming the role of a yellow henchman, as you bring the fight to “iconic villains like the Vicious Six, El Macho, and Vector”. It’s available in the Minecraft Marketplace right now.
Recently, developer Mojang also celebrated Sonic the Hedgehog’s anniversary with a chunky add-on pack that added a new Green Hill Zone-style minigame to the world’s most famous tree punching title. To be honest, the Minecraft Marketplace is quite the sight to behold these days: there’s so much content, from farming games to streaming simulators. Seriously.

Gotta admit they're actually one of the few Minecraft skins that actually fit better in the game along with Sonic, even if people for some reason are gonna hate it. Maybe it's just live-action stuff like Doctor Who that just doesn't work as Minecraft skins.
In other words, it's weird to see this mashup pack and merch made for it got released out just a year before the new Minions movie. Maybe it was in development before it got delayed again to 2022 or they couldn't wait even longer.
My wine drinking mother would give this a like on Facebook. She'd think it's just neat.
I don't play it but the way I hear it Microsoft are securing these licences and modders are earning money for their work? That's pretty cool if true.
@Constable_What lol. Exactly what I was thinking. Middle aged Facebook mums from 2010 must be thrilled.
I’ve had a dislike for the Minons once I saw them on banana stickers. 😂 TOO MUCH! Those little things were everywhere! Honestly, I didn’t see the appeal after the first Despicable Me. 🤷🏾♂️
